Booking.com Makes It Easier To Find Sustainable, Work-Friendly Hotels

(Broadry) — With holiday travel upon us, Booking.com is making it easier for travelers to experience the world in a more mindful way by finding properties that align with their core values. The site recently launched a series of new tools to help travelers find-and-book stays at properties identified as either sustainable, work-friendly, or LGTBQ+ friendly.

Sustainable

With 66% of American travelers stating they want to stay in a sustainable accommodation in the upcoming year, the brand-new, first of its kind Travel Sustainable badge makes finding and booking sustainable stays easier than ever.

Work-Friendly

As the pandemic has made remote work ubiquitous for many Americans, more travelers than ever are seeking the freedom that comes with being able to work from anywhere. Nomadic workers can now search for “Work-Friendly” properties on the site. These accommodations must meet certain requirements, like high quality service, great reviews, a high cleanliness score, complimentary wi-fi and dedicated laptop-friendly workspaces.

Proud

According to Booking.com research, almost two-thirds (63%) of LGTBQ+ travelers have stated they have had uncomfortable or less-than-welcoming experiences at a property where they were staying. A Travel Proud badge on a property page shows potential guests that they can rely on a welcoming experience.

“I had the opportunity to enjoy a recent weekend getaway at the Mr. C Miami, one of the many Booking.com properties across the globe with the badge offering sustainable stays. There’s a myth out there that you have to sacrifice comfort to be sustainable, but that couldn’t be further from the truth – just check out the property’s sleek rooftop pool, modern in-room kitchen and beautiful grounds!” – Adrian Grenier
